College of Aeronautics and Engineering Welcomes New Director of Center for Advanced Air Mobility

91²Ö¿â has named Rubén Del Rosario, D.Eng. as the new Director of the Center for Advanced Air Mobility (CAAM) and Professor in the College of Aeronautics and Engineering (CAE).

In these roles, Del Rosario will spearhead the ongoing development of CAAM as a premier venue for faculty and student engagement. He aims to leverage the center's achievements to create additional opportunities while harnessing CAE's ability to provide students with hands-on, real-world experience in preparation for the future of advanced air mobility (AAM).

Del Rosario joins 91²Ö¿â after a distinguished career in aerospace. He most recently served as Vice President of Aerospace and Advanced Transportation at Crown Consulting, Inc. Prior to that, he spent 29 years at NASA's John H. Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio, where he last held the position of Director of Aeronautics.

During his tenure at NASA, Del Rosario provided executive leadership for aeronautics research and development programs and projects in support of the agency's Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate (ARMD). He oversaw annual budgets exceeding $150 million.

Del Rosario's extensive experience in aerospace research and development, coupled with his leadership skills, positions him to drive innovation and excellence in the field of advanced air mobility at 91²Ö¿â.

University officials express confidence that under Del Rosario's guidance, the Center for Advanced Air Mobility and the College of Aeronautics and Engineering will continue to thrive, offering enhanced opportunities for students and faculty while advancing research.
