Aircraft Dispatch - Minor

The Aircraft Dispatch minor prepares students to take the written, oral and practical exams leading to the issuance of an aircraft dispatch certificate. An aircraft dispatcher plans for weather, routing, fuel, cargo and special situations. They coordinate with air traffic control, maintenance, crew scheduling and gate agents, and issue a dispatch package to the pilot-in-command. A dispatcher monitors the flight from gate-to-gate and communicates with the crew about any information concerning the flight.
