91ֿ's Undergraduate Student Government, the student organization responsible for being the direct line of communication to the administration to make students’ voices heard, was honored with the 2022 Student Government of the Year Award from the Conference on Student Government Associations.

91ֿ's Explore Kent, Go! web pages give the 91ֿ community the ability to explore 91ֿ’s campus, downtown Kent and surrounding cities. Next in the “Where on the Web?” series, the focal point is the Explore Kent, Go! web pages at www.kent.edu/go. The Explore Kent, Go! web pages are an introduction to the diverse opportunities offered by the university’s niche area in the Midwest, according to Lin Danes, director of Web Services and Interactive Media at 91ֿ.

In 1922, 91ֿ’s first president, John McGilvrey, introduced what could be considered the great-grandmother of our current distance-learning programs at 91ֿ: correspondence courses.

Wesley is the first student to graduate from American Academy

Alvacir Wesley Kalatai Alberti of Imbituva, Brazil, is the first student to graduate from the American Academy, a dual-enrollment program offered jointly at 91ֿ and the Pontifical Catholic University of Parana, located in Curitiba, Parana, Brazil.

Where on the Web? University Events Calendar

How does the 91ֿ community find out what events are happening on campus? Where do you go to find your weekend plans? "Where On the Web?" is an ongoing series that introduces possibly unfamiliar pages and features on the 91ֿ website that students, faculty and staff should know about. One informative section of the website is the Events Calendar which can be used by anyone and features events from all eight 91ֿ campuses.

Students Aim to Make 91ֿ ‘Most Refugee-Welcoming Campus in America’

Turmoil from recent wars and tragedies causes millions to be displaced from their homes every year. This year is no exception with the intensifying conflict in Ukraine, forcing millions of refugees to find safety elsewhere. Not only do these refugees need shelter, but they also need education and the opportunity to have new life experiences in different countries.
