You will receive confirmation from the university of your admission acceptance.  Additionally, the college will provide an email with additional information to include the appointment of their graduate advisor and other important information.

If you find that you’re arriving later than the official start of the semester, inform the International Student Services Office and your graduate advisor immediately.

When you officially accept your offer of admission online, you have the opportunity to defer your initial enrollment.  If you need to defer your enrollment after you accept your offer of admission, you must send an email to the admissions office at gradapps@kent.edu.

No.  Section III of the Guide to Graduate Education provides the criteria for enrolling in coursework.  Essentially, a graduate student must enroll for at least one course in a 12-month period to maintain their graduate status.  Failure to do this results in withdrawal from the university.
