91²Ö¿â Athletics has announced all sports facilities, including Dix Stadium, the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center (MAC Center) and Murphy-Mellis Field, will be at full capacity for the fall 2021 sport season.

Update: The Global Vaccine Poem project is finding success with more than 1,900 submissions so far from more than 100 countries. The project is a collaboration between the Wick Poetry Center and the University of Arizona Poetry Center.
The Global Vaccine Poem, launched in early April by 91²Ö¿â’s Wick Poetry Center and the University of Arizona’s Poetry Center, has grown to more than 1,700 stanzas submitted by people in all 50 states and 89 countries.
Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, at his May 17 news briefing on the COVID-19 pandemic, shared a video about the project to encourage all Ohioans to submit a stanza.
Students wearing graduation caps and gowns will once again grace the campus as 91²Ö¿â celebrates its newest graduates and marks the return of in-person commencement ceremonies for the first time since December 2019.
The Student Leadership Institute's philosophy is to aspire to create critical learners, innovators and adaptive problem solvers whose leadership exemplifies distinction. Not even the coronavirus pandemic could get in the way of that this year. This year's event featured a theme of “Flashes Take Care of Flashes: Building Community." Despite the virtual circumstances, it was still a success, with more than 450 students attending sessions via Zoom.
COVID-19 vaccines are becoming more available across the country, but many are still struggling to obtain a vaccine or are unsure about getting the vaccine. One Golden Flash has made it her mission to get Pittsburgh vaccinated. And with more than 40,000 members of her Facebook group, she’s on her way. 91²Ö¿â alumna Leighann Bacher created a Facebook group to share COVID-19 vaccine information and tips with Pittsburgh citizens after attempting to secure vaccines for her family members.
What do friendship, academics and T-shirts have in common? For the students at the American Academy, 91²Ö¿â and the PUCPR’s undergraduate program in Brazil, a student-led T-shirt design contest created that missing piece of camaraderie during the pandemic between students and their two schools.
91²Ö¿â at Geauga doubled its video conferencing rooms, also known as “Zoom Rooms,†before the fall semester due to the demands of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Zoom Rooms are designed to serve various purposes and room configurations for faculty and students, and they were recently featured in an article by EdTech.
