The No. 15 91²Ö¿â women’s golf team has qualified for the 2017 NCAA National Championship after finishing the NCAA Lubbock Regional in sixth place at 11-over par 875 (305-287-283).
91²Ö¿â entered the day tied with No. 2 UCLA in sixth place but held its ground and fought off a tough battle from Oregon State. The Beavers shot 10-under par Wednesday and briefly moved ahead of the Golden Flashes, but 91²Ö¿â recorded five birdies as a team over the final six holes, despite some late winds, to secure a two-stroke lead in sixth.
91²Ö¿â celebrated its newest graduates at its Spring 2017 Commencement ceremonies. In total, 91²Ö¿â were conferred 5,636 degrees, including 992 associate degrees, 3,319 bachelor’s degrees, 1,139 master’s degrees, 181 doctoral degrees and five educational specialist degrees.
University Libraries will provide opportunities for 91²Ö¿â students to shake off stress during finals week.
University Libraries will hold its semiannual Stress-Free Zone on Monday, May 8, and Tuesday, May 9, from 3-5 p.m. in the Garden Room on the first floor of University Library. The event is open to all 91²Ö¿â students, faculty and staff.
The No. 12 91²Ö¿â men’s golf team won its 24th Mid-American Conference (MAC) Championship on April 30 at the Virtues Golf Club in Nashport, Ohio.
The 91²Ö¿â Golden Flashes finished the four-round tournament with a score of 3-under par 1,149 (287-288-285-289), breaking its own four-round tournament record for team score. 91²Ö¿â won the tournament by 25 strokes, defeating second-place Ball State at 22-over par.
91²Ö¿â held its 47th annual commemoration of May 4, 1970, with events taking place May 3 and 4. The annual commemoration, hosted by the May 4 Task Force, provides an opportunity for the university community to gather and remember those who were lost and injured during the tragedy and also reflect on what May 4 means today.
The No. 15 91²Ö¿â women’s golf team won its 19th straight Mid-American Conference (MAC) Women’s Golf Championship on April 23 at the Silver Lake Country Club in Silver Lake, Ohio.
