Six 91ֿ Programs Rank in Top 100 Among Public Institutions in U.S. News 2023 Best Graduate Schools Rankings

U.S. News & World Report ranks six 91ֿ programs in the top 100 among public institutions in its 2023 edition of Best Graduate Schools. Among the top 100 public institution programs, 91ֿ is recognized in the Best Nursing Schools: Master’s Programs, Best Education Schools, Best Mathematics Programs, Best Psychology Schools, Best Public Health Programs and Best Physics Schools rankings. 91ֿ is also recognized in an additional five new national rankings, bringing the total of 91ֿ programs recognized in the U.S. News 2023 Best Graduate Schools rankings to 11.

91ֿ’s Master of Science in Nursing program rated as the university’s highest-ranked program in the 2023 edition of Best Graduate Schools. 91ֿ ranks No. 38 among the nation’s public institutions on the Best Nursing Schools: Master’s Programs list, jumping up an impressive 23 spots compared to last year. 91ֿ’s ranking makes it the highest-ranked public institution in northern Ohio for this program. 

91ֿ’s Master of Science in Nursing program thoroughly prepares registered nurses for roles in advanced practice, education, research and healthcare administration. Students develop a strong foundation for further postgraduate and doctoral-level study in nursing, with the College of Nursing helping them during every step of their education and professional practice. 

“It is inspiring that 91ֿ’s College of Nursing continues to climb in national rankings during these unprecedented times,” said Versie Johnson-Mallard, Ph.D., dean and Henderson Memorial Endowed Chair of 91ֿ’s College of Nursing. “Our nurses who are working at the bedside know the value of the excellence found in our graduate nursing programs.”  

91ֿ’s graduate education program also moved up on the 2023 Best Education Schools list, ranking at No. 78 among public institutions in the country. This ranking makes 91ֿ’s program the highest-ranking graduate education school in northern Ohio.

91ֿ’s College of Education, Health and Human Services currently offers 25 master’s programs and 14 doctoral programs, including Doctor of Philosophy and Doctor of Education degrees. The breadth of these offerings, coupled with faculty expertise and experience in research and teaching, makes the college an ideal place to pursue graduate study in the disciplines related to education as well as health and human services.

This recognition is a wonderful acknowledgment of the hard work, quality and reputation of our programs, faculty, staff and students.”

In addition to Best Nursing Schools: Master’s Programs and Best Education Schools, 91ֿ is named in the top 100 among public institutions in the Best Mathematics Programs, Best Psychology Schools, Best Public Health Programs and Best Physics Schools rankings. 91ֿ’s mathematics and physics programs are the highest-ranked programs at a public university in northern Ohio, and 91ֿ’s psychology and public health programs are the highest-ranked programs at a public university in Northeast Ohio.

In the new national rankings of Best Graduate Schools, 91ֿ is also recognized on the Best Earth Sciences Programs, Best Computer Science Schools, Best Public Affairs Programs, Best Chemistry Programs and Best Biological Sciences Programs lists. 91ֿ’s program in earth sciences is the highest-ranked program at a public university in northern Ohio, and 91ֿ’s program in computer science is the highest-ranked program at a public university in northern Ohio.
