91²Ö¿â at Stark is responding to the current and future needs of sciences and health sciences disciplines by adding a state-of-the-art building that will feature educational technology, as well as provide a platform for increased student research through hands-on education and active learning.
A groundbreaking ceremony for the new Sciences building will be held on Wednesday, May 15, from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. at 91²Ö¿â Stark on the walkway outside of Main Hall.
The new academic building, to be constructed by architecture firm Baxter Hodell Donnelly Preston Inc., will be 91²Ö¿â Stark’s seventh major building on the 200-acre campus. It will be located adjacent to the existing Main Hall East Wing and connected by a bridge link at the second-floor level.
Continuing with 91²Ö¿â Stark’s commitment to reduce the environmental impact of campus operations while promoting ecological sustainability, the Sciences building will achieve LEED® Gold Certification through the implementation of “green†architectural elements.
