Dear 91²Ö¿â Students, Faculty and Staff,
91²Ö¿â stands in solidarity with members of our LGBTQ+ community. The recent mass shooting in Colorado Springs, Colorado, has left many of us angry, grief-stricken and sad. This recent shooting is part of a rise in anti-LGBTQ+ violence across the nation and around the world. We condemn this latest act of hate against the LGBTQ+ community.
To allow members of our community to process these recent events, 91²Ö¿â invites students, faculty and staff to an event hosted by the Division of Student Affairs.
The event will take place in the LGBTQ+ Center on the lower level of the Kent Student Center at 3 p.m. today, Monday, Nov. 21.
Student mental health support and resources are available on the Step Up and Speak Out website or by contacting Counseling and Psychological Services at 330-672-2487. Mental health services are available to faculty and staff through IMPACT Solutions, our employee assistance program, at 1-800-227-6007. For general well-being resources, visit the 91²Ö¿â of Well-being resource page.
Sincerely,
Amoaba Gooden, Ph.D.
