The C-SPAN Campaign 2016 Bus, an interactive mobile demonstration center, will visit 91²Ö¿â on Monday, March 14, from noon to 1:30 p.m. It will be parked in front of the Memorial Athletic and Convocation (MAC) Center. The 40-foot mobile learning center will be open for free tours to educate 91²Ö¿â students, employees and members of the general public about the 2016 Presidential election and conduct quick interviews to gather C-SPAN âVoices from the Roadâ to share on social media.
C-SPAN (Cable-Satellite Public Affairs Network) is a private, non-profit company created in 1979 by the cable television industry as a public service. In 2010, C-SPAN launched , a searchable, video-rich site that has every C-SPAN program aired since 1987.
The C-SPAN Campaign 2016 Bus features interactive exhibits to educate visitors about CSPANâs coverage of the U.S. Congress, the White House and federal courts, as well as its signature political program, âRoad to the White House.â âRoad to the White Houseâ provides access to the presidential candidates and events from the campaign trail, without editing, commentary or analysis.
âWe hope students will learn more about our in-depth public affairs coverage and our free online resources available for use in the classroom through the interactive experience on the C-SPAN Bus,â said Chellie Zou, C-SPAN marketing representative.
The C-SPAN Campaign 2016 Bus offers the opportunity to interact with in-depth public affairs programming and educational resources; touch-screen quizzes on C-SPAN and the three branches of government; mobile devices that demonstrate how C-SPAN is used on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube and mobile apps; and HD cameras and production equipment capable of producing public affairs programming aboard the bus.
The tour begins in Cleveland on March 14 and will visit Toledo, Columbus, Athens, Dayton and Cincinnati.
