AI Workshops

The CTL is offering a variety of workshops related to AI.  All workshops have built-in engagement and are held virtually.  All of these workshop counts towards the AI-Ready Educator Recognition.  Click here to learn more about this recognition.  

Units are also welcome to request any of the workshops below by emailing ctl@kent.edu 

The 60-75 minute workshops include:  

  • Responding to Unexpected AI Use

  • The Impact of AI on student writing:  Critical considerations for instructors

  • Crafting and communicating AI policies for the classroom

  • Other AI workshops you can request for your unit or of our previously offerings:  
    • Strategies to support responsible student use of AI

    • Unlocking Increased Instructor Efficiency and Creativity with Generative AI

    • KSU Faculty Reflect on GenAI (panel - recording only)

 

Each 30-minute workshop covers one application of AI, offering practical demonstrations and a chance to try out AI tools with support.  During the Fall Semester, each workshop will be offered virtually twice within a week; once on Wednesday at 9am and then again on Thursday at 1pm.  If those times do not work for you and your unit, you can request one by emailing ctl@kent.edu.  (these mini-workshops are not recorded)

The 30-minute workshops include:

AI Show & Tell: 

  • This AI Playground is different than the other topic-driven workshops.  During this workshop, we will highlight what AI tools instructors use.  We invite you join us and briefly share your favorite AI tool or bring your curiosity to learn from your colleagues.
