Mothers, Mentors and Muses is 91²Ö¿â Women’s Center’s signature event that recognizes 91²Ö¿â female-identifying faculty or staff who have made a significant difference in the life of a student or colleague. More than 300 women across the university have received this honor.
This year’s 2016 class of honorees includes two individuals from the School of Communication Studies: Miao Liu, international program advisor and Jenny McCullough, assistant professor. The two women will be honored Tuesday, March 8, from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. in the Kent Student Center Ballroom.
On receiving this honor, McCullough said, “I am very excited to be honored with the other female-identifying faculty and staff at this year’s event. I try to be available for my students and colleagues, and it is humbling to be nominated for impacting someone’s life in some way. I hope to continue to have a positive, lasting impact on others since there are many people who have done the same for me.â€
Liu shared McCullough’s sentiment and said, “I'm very grateful for the recognition as well as the great opportunity in the School of Communication Studies to help provide the international students a successful studying abroad experience.â€
