Minor in Communication Studies

91�ֿ�’s Minor in Communication Studies offers students a foundational understanding of communication principles and practices across various contexts. The program enhances skills in public speaking, interpersonal communication, and media literacy, while introducing students to key concepts in communication theory and research. This minor complements a wide range of majors, helping students develop strong communication abilities that are essential in both personal and professional settings.

Admissions for Communication Studies - Minor

Admission Requirements

Admission to a minor is open to students declared in a bachelor’s degree, the A.A.B. or A.A.S. degree or the A.T.S. degree (not Individualized Program major). Students declared only in the A.A. or A.S. degree or the A.T.S. degree in Individualized Program may not declare a minor. Students may not pursue a minor and a major in the same discipline.

To declare the Communication Studies minor, students must have a minimum 2.000 overall 91�ֿ� GPA. No 91�ֿ� GPA is required if the student is a first-semester freshman or transfer student admitted in good standing.
