91²Ö¿â’s Columbiana County campuses will welcome fans from both ends of the county for the inaugural 91²Ö¿â Volleyball Classic on Monday, Oct. 7, as the Salem Quakers host the East Liverpool Potters. The competition begins at 5 p.m. with the freshmen team match-up, followed by the JV and varsity games.
91²Ö¿â Columbiana County will award $500 scholarships to four individual high school seniors attending the game, as well as a set of Bluetooth speakers to two individual high school students. Kent’s mascot, Flash, will be there to cheer on the teams and toss t-shirts into the crowd.
Raffle tickets can be purchased that night for a variety of prizes, including tickets to the MAC men’s and women’s basketball tournaments; 91²Ö¿â apparel; and items from Libs Market in Salem. Proceeds from the raffle will benefit the Columbiana County Women’s Leadership Development Scholarship.
At the end of the game, a traveling plaque will be presented to the winning team by Dean Dr. David Dees.
91²Ö¿â students, staff and faculty are encouraged to attend the event and put your Golden Flash pride on display. Wear your blue and gold and cheer on both teams!
