Earth Day Environmental Justice Conference
The Earth Day Environmental Justice Conference is an annual event held each spring on the Saturday closest to Earth Day (April 22) at . It showcases undergraduate research on Environmental Issues. Students from all campuses are welcome! This event is free and open to the public, however, RSVP is appreciated.
This year's theme is The Impact of World Conflicts and Wars on the Environment.
Call to Present
91²Ö¿â students from all disciplines and programs are invited to participate in the annual Earth Day Environmental Justice Conference to be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Presentations may be in the form of:
- Essays
- Include a cover sheet with name, title and identifying information.
- One-page statements (minimum of 150 to 400 words)
- Full essays should be up to ten pages
- Posters
- Must be self-standing, tri-fold (36 inches x 48 inches)
- Due the day of the conference, April 20
- Set up in the 1st floor hall between 10:30- 11 a.m. the day of the conference
- May also be mailed to Dr. Lydia Rose at 400 E. Fourth St., East Liverpool, Ohio
- Mailed posters must be received by 5 p.m., April 19
- PowerPoint Presentation
- Intent to submit a PowerPoint presentation is due April 15
- Presentations should be five to 15 slides
- Save Your Presentation to a USB and bring it to the conference
How to Apply
Prizes
Students from each session will be eligible to win prizes: $150. for First place, $100. for Second place, and $50. for Third place. Door prizes will also be available.
Schedule: The conference is held in person at Purinton Hall, 91²Ö¿â East Liverpool and a virtual option will also be available.
Deadline to submit an application is Monday, April 15, 2024 by noon.
