October is Mental Health Awareness Month at 91²Ö¿â

91²Ö¿â chose October as Mental Health Awareness Month because the need for mental health support peaks during the month.

President Diacon Speaks at Bowman Breakfast, Fall 2024

91²Ö¿â President Todd Diacon showcased the institution's far-reaching impact on Ohio and beyond during the annual Bowman Breakfast event held at the Kent Student Center Ballroom.

Sponsored by the 91²Ö¿â Alumni Association, the Alumni Awards are the university’s most prestigious alumni honors. The 2024 Alumni Award recipients include seven alumni, two recent graduates, one staff member and one current student.

91²Ö¿â Staff Council was created in response to a past engagement and wellness survey.

Students, faculty, staff, and administrators are encouraged to take the “Our Voices Count†Engagement and Well-Being Survey by the Oct. 20 deadline.

91²Ö¿â has entered into an agreement with the Turkmenistan Ministry of Education to begin exploring the possibility of creating an educational partnership with several national institutes of higher learning there. The effort is part of 91²Ö¿â’s ongoing commitment to using education to foster global understanding and peace in a divided world.

The Office of Intercultural Student Life, formerly known as International Student Affairs, has a new central location in the Kent Student Center, which has made it more accessible to international students. Along with the new location comes the mission to provide drop-in services for international students.

The 91²Ö¿â Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting on Oct. 2 on the Kent Campus. This special meeting is being called solely for the purpose of enabling trustees to retire into executive session to consider specific topics as provided under Ohio’s “Sunshine Law.â€
