This summer, students in 91²Ö¿â's School of Art had an opportunity to study in Italy through the university's Florence Summer Institute program.

Rwanda Safari

91²Ö¿â Photographer Bob Christy and a handful of students spent more than six hours last July in Akagera National Park; the trip was near the end of the students' summer educational experience known as the Kigali Summer Institute, which explores the post-genocide reconstruction of Rwanda and issues related to peace and conflict in the context of the country’s history.

Two new scholarships from 91²Ö¿â's Office of Global Education aim make education-abroad experiences possible for all 91²Ö¿â students.

G Clingman is a third-year 91²Ö¿â Student double majoring in English and Spanish while also working toward their Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certificate. Though they have been studying at KSU’s main campus for the last two years, G is swapping Acorn Alley and the Esplanade for the historical streets of Murcia, Spain.

Emily Hovest is a third-year student studying architecture at 91²Ö¿â’s Florence Center for the Spring semester. It was always her desired destination, especially since the KSU architecture program encourages students to study abroad their junior year.
