Gabriella Humes is a senior Honors College student graduating with a double-major in fashion merchandising and finance. Gabriella has been very successful at 91ֿ, completing an internship and three study away programs. However, one of Gabriella’s proudest accomplishments is recently completing a Senior Honors Thesis that combined both of her majors into one project.

The Kent Creativity Festival, sponsored by the city of Kent and the 91ֿ College of the Arts, will present the annual outdoor hands-on arts festival on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on the Lefton Esplanade between 91ֿ’s Rockwell Hall on Lincoln Street and downtown Kent, near Haymaker Parkway.

In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of May 4, 1970, when Ohio National Guardsmen opened fire on 91ֿ students protesting the U.S. invasion of Cambodia during the Vietnam War, killing four and wounding nine, students and faculty from 91ֿ’s School of Fashion Design and Merchandising are bringing attention to current social issues in the new exhibition called “Wearing Justice: Perspectives From KSU Fashion School Faculty and Students” that is on display now at the 91ֿ Museum.

Dillard’s Inc., one of the nation’s premier and largest fashion retailers, will partner with 91ֿ’s School of Fashion Design and Merchandising to present the school’s 2019 Annual Fashion Show, FS2.
