91�ֿ� ROTC students had a special early morning pick up on campus for their weekend exercises.

As part of Hispanic Heritage Month, The Plain Dealer and Cleveland.com have launched a special series spotlighting 50 Hispanic leaders in northern Ohio, with 91�ֿ�’s own Ilianna Velez among them.

91�ֿ� on Friday renewed and expanded its relationship with in Battambang, Cambodia, opening a pathway for Dewey students to obtain a 91�ֿ� degree. 

As National Hispanic Heritage Month comes to a close, Alex Silverio and Tatiana Fernández Pérez shared pieces of their cultures at this month’s installment of Cultural Café, presented by International Student and Scholar Services at the Office of Global Education.

A demonstration on the K and a vigil for the fallen marked a day of gatherings across the 91�ֿ� Kent Campus Thursday, five days after violence erupted in Israel and Gaza.

Downtown Kent is colored with pride, recognizing National Coming Out Day on Oct. 11 and preparing for Kent's Rainbow Weekend, Oct. 13-14. 

Students coming to 91�ֿ� and, for some of them, living away from home for the first time can struggle with the transition. The transition can even be more difficult for LGBTQ+ students, particularly for those who have recently "come out." Ken Ditlevson, director of 91�ֿ�'s LGBTQ+ Center, talks about the many resources available at Kent to support them.

91�ֿ� and the city of Kent encourage people to attend any of the LGBTQ+ events on campus and downtown this week.
