It may surprise you to learn that “Captain Underpants,†“Frankenstein,†“The Great Gatsby,†“Hunger Games†and “The Perks of Being a Wallflower†are all popular books that have been banned, along with many others. In honor of Banned Books Week, the Second Annual Banned Books Read-In was held in Taylor Hall.

Members of the 91²Ö¿â community can take great pride in their university’s hometown. The city of Kent has been selected by Ohio Magazine as a 2022-2023 Best Hometown. The Best Hometown honor recognizes Kent as a great place to live, work and visit.

Every Friday, the 91²Ö¿â community can come together to create poetry and share a more vulnerable side of themselves at the Wick Poetry Center. The Wick Weekly poetry writing workshop brings students together to help develop them as poets and create a community of creatives.
