Father and son complete first flight together

A father and son, both 91²Ö¿â alumni, graduates of the professional pilot program in the College of Aeronautics and Engineering, recently achieved a remarkable milestone. Scott and Kyle Koeppl completed their first flight together as Southwest Airlines pilots.

When U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg visited 91²Ö¿â this summer, he and U.S. Representative (and 91²Ö¿â alumna) Emilia Sykes toured the College of Aeronautics and Engineering and the May 4 Visitors Center.

Engineering students use computers in the Cyber Range classroom

91²Ö¿â has been named a Regional Programming Center by the Ohio Cyber Range Institute, joining a statewide network to enhance cybersecurity education and workforce development. As part of this initiative, the university will contribute to various programming activities and host outreach events in Northeast Ohio, furthering its commitment to excellence in cybersecurity engineering education.

President Todd Diacon and Vic and Cheryl Petrovic were among the people who gathered on Friday to celebrate the Flying Flashes.

It was a time to celebrate with victories by Flying Flashes team 52 Peyton Turner and Alyssa Sheehan, who won first-place Intercollegiate Class in the 2024 Air Race Classic and a second 91²Ö¿â team that finished in the top 10.
