Advising
Psychology Advising
Students majoring in psychology have the option to see professional advisors in the Department of Psychological Sciences (Kent Hall 144) or in the College of Arts and Sciences Undergraduate Advising Office (Bowman 105).
Advising in the Department of Psychological Sciences is generally by appointment, either online or in-person. However, psychology students may stop by Kent 144 to see if an advisor is available for a quick question.
You are able to meet with advisors in Psychology for the following purposes:
• Resolving questions regarding the psychology major or minor
• Planning classes for next semester
• Reviewing and updating your GPS plan
• Ensuring you are on track to graduate
• Interpreting general University policies and procedures (e.g., Kent Core requirements)
• Answering questions about a major change within the College of Arts & Sciences
• Acquiring information about campus and academic resources
In addition, students may meet with the Academic Program Coordinator, Debra Penberthy or Dr. Joel Hughes to begin to explore graduate school and career options.
