Free & confidential HIV testing through Community AIDS Network/Akron Pride Initiative (CANAPI). All testing is completed in a private location within the Student and Recreation Wellness Center.

The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ+) Center is dedicated to providing the students, faculty and staff at 91²Ö¿â with education, training, support and resources that cater to the gender and sexual minority community and its allies. The center is a welcoming environment to LGBTQ students and their allies. The informed staff strives to educate the campus community about sexual orientation and gender identity to ensure 91²Ö¿â remains a safe space for all students.
Safe Space Ally Training aims to equip students, faculty and staff with the tools for creating Safe Spaces and welcoming environments for LGBTQ+ students on campus.
The Safe Space Ally program is a comprehensive, ongoing training offered through the Diversity Equity & Inclusion Training Lab of 91²Ö¿â, with the LGBTQ+ Center taking a lead role in providing curriculum and facilitators. The training has the overarching goal of making KSU a safer, more welcoming space for all students. Safe Space Ally Training is a 4-hour training session, which consists of an LGBTQ+ Vocabulary 101, as well as a panel of students identifying as LGBTQ+.
The Office of Sexual and Relationship Violence Support Services, (SRVSS - pronounced, "serves"), at 91²Ö¿â, was established to educate students about personal safety and violence prevention, to empower them to build healthier relationships, and to be responsive to students in need.
