Although all Beyond Compliance training information is sent to all faculty and staff, tenure-track and full-time nontenure track faculty members are not required (but strongly encouraged) to complete the training. All staff (including adjunct faculty) are required to complete at least two hours of Beyond Compliance training each fiscal year (July 1-June 30).
Innovators, problem solvers and designers are a growing force at 91²Ö¿â, bringing a renewed vibrancy to the heart of campus. Soon they will have a dynamic, new space designed to spark creativity and collaboration.
The 91²Ö¿â Board of Trustees voted June 6 to transform the former School of Art building into a new state-of-the-art, student-centered Design Innovation Hub and Dining facility.
The 91²Ö¿â Women’s Center will host lunchtime discussions on the issues that impact women in the community. Participants will have the opportunity to share their thoughts on those issues and offer solutions. All perspectives are welcome.
The discussions will take place on June 19 and July 17 from noon-1:30 p.m. at the Women’s Center, Williamson House, 1200 E. Main St. on the Kent Campus. Lunch will be provided.
91²Ö¿â's holiday closure for 2024 will begin Monday, Dec. 23, 2024, at 10:30 p.m. All offices will re-open on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025. Employees not eligible for the paid leave include student employees, classified temporary staff, temporary agency staff, short-term unclassified appointments, unclassified intermittent appointments and employees in a lay-off status. More information on the holiday schedule, including how employees should report time during that period, will be available later this month.
Testing Your Faith Act (H.B. 353) was enacted in the Spring 2023 semester. In ordinance with this bill, 91²Ö¿â created a new administrative policy for religious and spiritual accommodations. This administrative policy allows students to report up to three days of unexcused absences to participate in religious holidays or community-held events in alignment with their spirituality.
