Renovation of the Schwartz Center (R12) lot and Kent Student Center Visitor Parking lot is set to begin this summer. Both parking lots will be closed beginning May 16 through mid-August.
Additionally, the R10 lot between Lake Hall and the Memorial Athletic and Convocation (MAC) Center will be closed throughout summer to all vehicles, except those with disability permits. This lot closure also will begin May 16 to allow for reconstruction of Williams Drive, which will connect to the newly designed Risman Drive.

Employees not eligible for the paid leave include student employees, classified temporary staff, temporary agency staff, short-term unclassified appointments, unclassified intermittent appointments and employees in a lay-off status. More information on the holiday schedule, including how employees should report time during that period, will be available later this month.
Testing Your Faith Act (H.B. 353) was enacted in the Spring 2023 semester. In ordinance with this bill, 91ֿ created a new administrative policy for religious and spiritual accommodations. This administrative policy allows students to report up to three days of unexcused absences to participate in religious holidays or community-held events in alignment with their spirituality.
