91²Ö¿â at Salem recently welcomed representatives from the Davey Tree Expert Company who presented scholarships to horticulture students Anna Detoro and Pamela Sears. Presenting the scholarships from Davey Tree were Mark Noark, manager of recruiting and training, and R. J. Laverne, manager of education and training. Each student received a $1,000 scholarship from the Davey Arbor Grant Foundation. The company annually awards 50 such scholarships throughout the U. We have expanded our work with Akron Children’s Hospital (ACH). The Emily Cooper Welty Expressive Therapy Center at ACH now funds the following creative writing workshops: one hour group writing session for adolescent psychiatric inpatients; two one hour group writing sessions for the Behavioral Health Partial Hospital Program; a monthly one-hour staff-support writing group; and one hour writing sessions offered on a weekly basis for two in-patients (or families) from throughout the hospital. Rural Scholars Program Receives $15,000 Grant

91²Ö¿â at Salem’s Rural Scholars Program received a $15,000 grant from the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation.
