91ֿ Orchestra Celebrates Halloween with Family-Friendly Concert

Kent, Ohio — Come dressed in your Halloween best for the 91ֿ Orchestra’s Oct. 31, 3 p.m. concert. The members of the orchestra will be decked out in costume, performing spooky, family-friendly favorites. Candy will be handed out at the end of the performance to kick off Kent city’s official trick-or-treat that night. Tickets are $10 for adults and free for those 18 and under with a ticket. 

The program includes Bizet’s “Carmen Suite,” Mussorgsky’s “Night on Bald Mountain,” and selections from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “The Phantom of the Opera.” Also on the program is Saint-Säens playfully ghostly “Danse Macabre,” selections from Grieg’s “Peer Gynt Suite” and Brahms’ celebratory “Academic Festival Overture.”

The concert will be held in 91ֿ’s Cartwright Hall at 650 Hilltop Dr. Parking is free in all surrounding lots.  

Ticket orders can be done in advance online, by phone or in person through the Performing Arts Box Office. The Box Office is open Monday through Friday from 12 to 5 p.m. in the Roe Green Lobby of the Center for the Performing Arts. Full-time Kent Campus undergraduate students can reserve a free ticket using Arts Pass. Subscription packages are also available.
