Emilee Sanor
Biography
Emilee Sanor is the administrative secretary for the School of Music. She is a recent alum of the 91²Ö¿â School of Music, graduating in May of 2024 with an M.M. in saxophone performance. Throughout her time as a student at Kent, she held a graduate assistantship in the band department, working both with students and behind the scenes. She also holds a B.S. in Music Education from Malone University in Canton Ohio. As a two-time college music student, she saw firsthand the vital role of committed administrative staff to the success of students and staff in a music institution. Some of her many duties in the School of Music include scheduling, facilitating equipment rentals, assisting the director, and any general tasks to make the lives of students and staff easier.
She is also active as a professional musician, working as a freelance saxophonist and private lesson instructor. She regularly performs as a soloist for church services, weddings, pit orchestras, and private events. She has been a member of the Salem Quaker City Band in her hometown of Salem, Ohio for over 10 years, has performed with the Canton Concert Band, a professional ensemble in Canton, Ohio, and is on the sub list for the Alliance Symphony Big Band. As a graduate student at Kent, she earned principal saxophone in the CBDNA North Central Division Intercollegiate Band and won the 2023 KSU Graduate Concerto Competition.
She is also a dedicated alumni of the All Ohio State Fair Band program
