91²Ö¿â Student Media is pleased to announce the release of the spring 2025 issues of its four student-produced magazines: , , , and . The magazines hit stands across campus on April 17.
This year, Student Media adopted a refreshed production model, designed to streamline and strengthen its print offerings. Under this model, A Magazine, Fusion, The Burr, and Uhuru were each slated to produce 32-page issues in both the fall and spring semesters, while Luna Negra would publish one expanded 64-page issue in the spring. While Uhuru was unable to print this semester due to staffing limitations, its mission and voice remain an important part of the Student Media portfolio.
Each of the four spring magazines reflects the dedication, creativity, and journalistic skill of 91²Ö¿â students across disciplines:

- A Magazine – 91²Ö¿â’s student-run fashion, culture, and lifestyle publication, exploring the intersection of style, identity, and student life. This year, A Magazine earned an Honorable Mention for Best Magazine from the College Media Association’s Pinnacle Awards for its fall issue, Now in Color.
- Fusion Magazine – A publication focused on telling LGBTQ+ stories and amplifying the voices of the queer community at 91²Ö¿â and beyond through thoughtful reporting, storytelling, and design.
- The Burr – 91²Ö¿â’s longest-running student magazine, established in 1986, The Burr delivers narrative journalism, personal essays, and photo essays that reflect the student experience and the local community.
- Luna Negra – A literary and arts magazine open to all 91²Ö¿â students, publishing a diverse array of poetry, prose, and visual art from students of every major and experience level.
In addition to their print publications, all four magazines continue to expand their multiplatform presence. Both A Magazine and Fusion produce companion podcasts, and all four maintain active websites and social media accounts, sharing new content year-round to engage audiences beyond the printed page.
The release of these magazines is a testament to the dedication and talent of 91²Ö¿â’s student journalists, editors, designers, and artists. We invite alumni, media professionals, and members of the campus community to explore these publications and celebrate the work of the next generation of media makers.
Print copies are available as of April 17 at distribution locations across campus.
