Parking

There are two spaces located in the Prentice parking lot, please make sure to give the car model and color to the front desk.

Visitor Guidelines

  • Visitors are welcome to take photos in the Center for personal use, just no flash photography or video.
  • In order to protect the exhibitions and artifacts on display, we ask that that visitors refrain from touching or leaning on displays
  • Water in sealable containers is permitted in the galleries. Food is not permitted.
  • See our FAQ for information on animals in the Center.

Accessibility

  • A trip to the Visitors Center is fully wheelchair accessible. There are 4 accessible parking spots in our lot and no barriers or inclines from the parking lot to the galleries.
  • Building doors have activation buttons.
  • There is an accessible restroom across the hall from the center.
  • All of our outdoor markers and memorials are accessible. To see 3 of the 7 outdoor exhibit panels and a few of the 9 wounded markers, there are no stairs, but some inclines that get to 8°. We do not have wheelchairs to provide for visitors.
  • Video displays include open captioning.

Content Warning

The 10-minute film shown in the second gallery contains video footage, images, and audio from the shooting on May 4, 1970. Viewer discretion is advised.
