Keynote: Navigating the Maze
Presented by Author and Educator
For years there was a formula: Go to school, get good grades, graduate from a university, and climate the career ladder. But the ladder is gone and our students will instead navigate a complex maze. In this keynote, participants will examine the vital skills students will need to become self-directed learners who can thrive in the maze - creativity, curiosity, adaptability, and empathy. Participants will also explore how design thinking and maker experiences can support students in developing the critical skills they will need to navigate a complex and unpredictable world. Participants will have the opportunity to dive deeper into these topics in a breakout session with John Spencer following the keynote.
