Welcome to the Gender and Sexuality Studies program at 91²Ö¿â!

We are proud to announce the Gender and Sexuality Studies program, housed in the School of Multidisciplinary Social Sciences and Humanities. The School is home to 91²Ö¿â’s premier interdisciplinary programs, where we ask complex questions in pursuit of courageous answers.

For students in the Gender and Sexuality Studies major, this means exploring the multiple and complex ways gender and sexuality are constructed through, and across, different time periods and societies, discourses, and systems of power. Throughout their course work, students will be able to think critically about contemporary debates and issues related to gender and sexuality, learn and deploy different methodological tools used in analysis, and devise policy interventions to address challenges.

Faculty who advise and teach in the major are experts in the field. Supported by a team of advisors in the College of Arts and Sciences and by faculty in the School of Multidisciplinary Social Sciences and Humanities, students benefit from a network of people committed to student success.
