Adulting

Becoming an adult is a stage we never thought we would get to so fast. We have so many questions. Where do we start? How do we do everything? How do we save up? These are all questions I had. It all takes time, but everyone can do it.  As a college student who commutes I have to be very responsible with attending my classes on time and working, learning how to budget, and still having fun. Paying gas, food, school tuition I need to make sure I can make those payments and also leave some for myself to put aside. Budgeting will make life a lot easier for you to understand what to use your money for. But with money, you need to have a job, communications skills, time management which all come together with how to be an adult. With also being a college student, I think we all seem to rush to move out and live independently but living at home while you can, will benefit you and help you save the money that you need for whenever you want to make next move in your life. Buying a home or an apartment is not something that can be easily done. Everything takes time for one to understand how to take care of themselves. There is no specific age when you become an “adult†It’s the way that you act that makes you an adult. I’m still a kid at heart even if I am a 20-year-old but I make sure to still have fun and be a responsible adult.

Make sure to check out the workshop that is run by Brandie Blankenship. “Adulting...It's Realâ€. Mrs. Blankenship helps students understand what it is to be an adult and ways they can prepare themselves for the future. You join live through a zoom call on February 24 and March 4.
