I.    COMPOSITION OF THE COMMITTEE

The Faculty Advisory Committee (FAC) of the Department of Psychological Sciences shall consist of six Faculty members.  There are three major faculty areas to be represented:  psychological science, Clinical Psychological Science, and regional campus.  At a minimum, two members of the committee must be from the psychological science Faculty, two from the Clinical Psychological Science Faculty, and one from the regional campus Faculty.

II.   ELECTION PROCESS

A. Nominations.  All Faculty are eligible for nomination in a given area.  At the appropriate time, a list of Faculty in these areas will be distributed to all Faculty in the department.  Each Faculty member will vote for three persons in each area.  The four Faculty members receiving the largest number of votes in the areas of psychological science and Clinical Psychological Science will be nominees for that area.  The two Faculty members from the regional campus receiving the largest number of votes will be the nominees from that area.

B.  Eligibility for Nomination.  Any Faculty member elected to the FAC for two consecutive years will not be eligible for nomination the following year.

C. Election.  All Faculty will vote on the nominees from all areas, voting for two from the psychological science area, two from the Clinical Psychological Science area, and one from the regional campus area. The Faculty member from the Clinical Psychological Science or psychological science area receiving the highest number of votes on the final ballot shall be declared the “at-large” representative.  Then, the two Faculty members in psychological science and the two Faculty members in Clinical Psychological Science who receive the highest number of votes shall be those elected in the respective areas.  The Faculty member from the regional campus receiving the larger number of votes will be the representative from that area.
