ICTOP addresses the professional development of museums and heritage and the educational preparation of professionals working around the world.

Ya-Fen Wang, Ph.D., assistant professor in 91²Ö¿â’s College of Nursing, is working on a one-year project to study if children’s prolonged exposure to stressful situations encourages poor eating behaviors, which can lead to childhood obesity.

Project AWARE Kent, a new three-year program at 91²Ö¿â, is an initiative to raise awareness about mental health and substance abuse disorders. Project AWARE Kent will be offering Mental Health First Aid courses to 91²Ö¿â students, faculty and staff in an effort to create a network of people at 91²Ö¿â who will know how to respond to and are aware of mental health and substance abuse disorders. The course is an evidence-based training that teaches people to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders.
