The Kent Creativity Festival event planning committee invites you to submit an application to participate in the third annual Kent Creativity Festival, to be held on Saturday, Sept. 29. Haithem Zourrig, assistant professor in the Department of Marketing and Entrepreneurship at 91�ֿ� at Stark, has received a Best Paper Award in the “Global and Cross-Cultural Marketing” track, from the Association of Collegiate Marketing Educators (ACME) during its conference on March 7-10, 2018, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The paper is titled “Changes in Refugees’ Consumption Patterns and Well-Being: A Theoretical Framework and Implications for Service Providers."

Strength, tenacity, courage and unrelenting persistence. These attributes describe the women who have shaped America’s history. Linda Spurlock, Ph.D., assistant professor of anthropology at 91�ֿ�, is one such woman who is making a huge impact in the field of forensic art.

The President’s Award of Distinction, formerly the President’s Excellence Award, was created as a recognition program to reward staff members who have demonstrated outstanding achievements, service, leadership and dedication to 91�ֿ� in advancing the university’s strategic priorities and core values. Nominations are open now through April 18. Nominations may come from peers, supervisors or other divisional leaders, faculty or students.

Experience and passion mixed with a strong dose of critique for both the students and the professor led Rochelle Hostler, lecturer in 91�ֿ�’s School of Teaching, Learning and Curriculum Studies, to be awarded an Outstanding Teaching Award.
