Description
The 91²Ö¿â EHHS Outstanding Staff Teamwork Award recognizes EHHS staff who have, as members of a team or collaborative group, contributed to the accomplishment of a major change or benefit to the EHHS or University community. The individuals in these high performing teams modeled open communication, trust, cooperation, and respect for differences by building effective and collaborative relationships to accomplish organizational goals.
Eligibility
- Teams/collaborative groups to be comprised of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 10 members.
- While teams/collaborative groups may have mixed representation (e.g., students, staff, faculty, alum), it must include a minimum of 2 staff (non-teaching personnel who are employed full-time and do not hold rank or tenure).
- Recipient(s) must have collaborated with others and exhibited significant efforts to advance departmental/college goals and the University’s mission.
Nomination Procedure
Unit heads are encouraged to cooperate with any faculty or staff member seeking evidence in support of a nomination. In addition, unit heads are encouraged to coordinate the nomination of a staff member who is nominated by two or more colleagues in order to reduce the possibility of duplicate nominations being sent to the Committee.
Nominations may be submitted by current employees, including staff, faculty, and administrators. Self-nominations are permitted.
The nominator should:
- Complete Nomination Form (PDF)
- Include a 1-page (maximum) nomination letter highlighting the composition and purpose of the team/collaborative group on which the nominee(s) served. Indicate the significant contributions made by this individual to the team.
Note: If application is self-nominated, the applicant should secure an additional nomination letter from a colleague or peer (faculty or staff) supporting the application. - If not the nominee(s)’s immediate supervisor, the nominator should obtain a signature approval from that individual.
- Other supporting documents may be submitted but are not required. Supporting material should be no more than 8 pages.
Nominations and supplementary materials become the property of the Honors and Awards Committee. All nomination materials will be kept confidential.
The Committee’s decision on award recipients will be made on the basis of the above materials only.
