Immunizations and Vaccinations
The DeWeese Health Center provides routine vaccinations as well as immunization series for those traveling internationally.
We currently offer:
- Measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine.
- Meningococcal vaccine.
- Hepatitis A vaccine.
- Hepatitis B vaccine.
- Tetanus-diphtheria-pertussis (Tdap) vaccine.
- Influenza vaccine.
- COVID-19 vaccine (Moderna).
- HPV vaccine.
- Varicella (chickenpox) vaccine.
- Shingrix (vaccine for shingles).
- Prevnar20 vaccine.
- RSV vaccine.
- Typhoid vaccine.
Some vaccines are offered at DeWeese Health Center but are not available for online scheduling. Please call our appointment line at 330-672-2322 to schedule an appointment for the following vaccinations:
- Meningococcal vaccine.
- Prevnar20 vaccine.
- RSV vaccine.
- Typhoid vaccine.
Travel vaccines are also available. Students and faculty are encouraged to schedule an appointment with a registered nurse as early as possible to ensure that adequate time is allotted for the completion of any needed vaccine series prior to travel. Vaccination prior to travel is imperative to help individuals stay healthy during and after their journeys.
Tuberculosis screening with a blood test is available.
