91²Ö¿â at Salem recently recognized three employees with Campus Excellence Awards, recognizing exemplary teaching and service to the campus.
Dr. Rachael Blasiman was recognized as the outstanding fulltime faculty member. She is an assistant professor of psychology and has taught on the Salem Campus for seven years. Her courses include general psychology, quantitative methods, research methods, biopsychology, perception, cognitive psychology and undergraduate research.
Blasiman received her bachelor of science in biology from Mount Union University. She earned her master’s and Ph.D. in experimental psychology from Case Western Reserve University. She now lives in Alliance.
James W. Wurster was recognized as the outstanding adjunct faculty member. He has taught on the Salem Campus for 10 years, including courses in basic microbiology, human biology, structure and lab function.
Wurster earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Akron, including a master’s of science and an MBA. He lives in Cuyahoga Falls.
Patty Ruehle received the award for outstanding staff member. She is the administrative assistant to the dean on the Salem Campus, where she has worked for 12 years, but has a total of 17 years of service with 91²Ö¿â.
She is retiring in June with more than 47 total years of service in various office settings and lives in Sebring.
