Common Issues
Students contact Counseling and Psychological Services for a variety of reasons, but typical concerns include adjusting to college, academic difficulties, stress, anxiety, depression, questions regarding sexuality, feelings of loneliness, lack of self-confidence, relationship problems, body image and eating concerns, and substance-related issues.
Sometimes these concerns can be addressed through self-help resources and healthy lifestyle changes. Other times you may need additional professional guidance. If you do, feel free to contact the CAPS office to schedule a consultation appointment. If you’re not sure, check out the graphic below to help you determine your path.
