The 91ֿ Biology Graduate Student Council (BGSC), in collaboration with the Brain Health Research Institute (BHRI), celebrated World Brain Day 2021 by hosting the First Annual Kent Brain Day 5K. Over 40 runners/walkers across the United States participated in the asynchronous 5K which occurred during the week of July 18 – 24, 2021. The theme of this year's July 22nd World Brain Day was “Stop MS (Multiple Sclerosis)”. Proceeds benefited the Ohio Buckeye Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and the newly created KSU BGSC Scholarship Fund.
The BGSC is a student-run group comprised of graduate students in both Biological Sciences and Biomedical Sciences Graduate Programs which plans events of interest for Biology graduate students and faculty. The BHRI is pleased to help support the BGSC and its events as part of our core commitment to education and research in neuroscience and brain health.
