Congratulations to Mark Kershner, 2015 Distinguished Teaching Award Recipient. He was chosen from a group of more than 250 nominations for this year’s 48th Annual 91²Ö¿â Alumni Association Distinguished Teaching Award. The three recipients of the award receive a $1,500 cash prize and a crystal apple. They also will be honored at the University Teaching Council Conference luncheon on Friday, Oct. 23.

Students, faculty and veterans met at the Student Green for an early Veterans Day Commemoration on Friday, November 8. Each summer, the Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) hosts , a transformative three-day program designed to stimulate the interest of students in basic sciences and the field of medicine. This year, the program selected a group of six 91²Ö¿â students who got hands-on experience and insights into the world of medicine.
A 91²Ö¿â faculty researcher in the Department of Biological Sciences has launched a pioneering study to explore how different species adapt to high-altitude environments in the Himalayas where oxygen levels are significantly lower. This research could have significant implications for understanding hypoxia-related conditions in humans.
