Graduate Program in Sculpture and Expanded Media

The Sculpture and Expanded Media graduate program at 91²Ö¿â offers a wide range of approaches, strategies and techniques with a conceptual approach to making.

Graduate students receive full access to facilities for traditional and digital fabrication as well as space for expanded media strategies such as installation, socially engaged and time-based practices. Students work closely with full-time faculty, providing the individual instruction deemed essential to prepare students for a career as an artist and a maker in the 21st century.

Students are accepted into the program based on the quality of their portfolio, a demonstrated commitment to artistry, and an indicated grasp of dimensional form. A broad range of materials is available to students including wood, stone, clay, plaster and wax as well as the tools and materials needed for various forms of metal fabrication and digital fabrication. The School of Art offers both the Master of Arts degree in Studio Art and the Master of Fine Arts degree in Sculpture and Expanded Media.
