The Wenner Gren Foundation for Anthropological Research was founded in 1941 and is one of the major funding agencies for anthropologists. Dr. Takeshita's proposal, "Uncovering Adrenarche: Neuroendocrine Basis of Human Longevity", will explore the relationship between adrenarche and uniquely-human life history variables.
