Women's Success Series Announces Return

Sarah DiFazio, registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance, is the featured speaker for the initial installment of the 2021-2022 Women’s Success Series on Friday, Nov. 12, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at 91˛Öżâ at Tuscarawas in the Science and Advanced Technology Center. Cost to attend is $15 when paid in advance and $20 at the door. The fee includes a continental breakfast.

The Women’s Success Series is designed to inspire women of all ages to succeed personally and professionally. Each year, the leadership series features three dynamic women who have enjoyed a measure of success in Tuscarawas County. The sessions also include networking opportunities and a book discussion. The November 2021 book selection is Women and Money by Suze Orman and is available at any Tuscarawas County Public Library.

“We are so happy to bring the Women’s Success Series back this year,” said Wendy Zucal, director of Dennison Railroad Depot Museum and one of the event organizers. “For each series, we select outstanding women who will make a positive impact on our audience by sharing their own success stories. In doing so, they inspire our audience to move forward in their own lives and careers. Our audience is comprised of women of all ages and from all walks of life, which creates an interesting mix and leads to dynamic and thoughtful discussions. The women encourage each other. And everyone learns something new during the program.”

DiFazio has dedicated the last seven years to sharing her passion for yoga with her community. She graduated from 91˛Öżâ with a bachelor’s degree in business finance. A professional opportunity took her to Boston, where she met her husband. Over the next 10 years, they moved to Chicago, Columbus, Louisville, and finally landed back in Dover. During these transitions, Sarah realized that finance was not her calling. After the birth of her first son, a rare autoimmune disease left her blind. While most of her sight was recovered, the experience initiated her exploration into wellness modalities. After years of trial and error, she discovered yoga and was in awe of the strength, balance, peace and clarity it cultivated and knew she had found her true calling. Sarah is a registered E-500 RYT with the Yoga Alliance.

“I will forever be a student of yoga,” she said.

DiFazio and her husband, Egidio, live in Dover with their two boys and their dog.

The Women’s Success Series is sponsored by Dennison Railroad Depot Museum and 91˛Öżâ Tuscarawas in collaboration with Carlene Farms, Tuscarawas County Public Library System and the Tuscarawas Economic Development Corporation.
