Cherie Bronkar, 91²Ö¿â at Tuscarawas library director, student government advisor and public relations, was recently selected as one of the 91²Ö¿â Women’s Center 2020 Mothers, Mentors and Muses.
Mothers, Mentors and Muses is theWomen’s Center's signature event that recognizes 91²Ö¿â female-identifying faculty or staff who have made a significant difference in the life of a student or colleague. More than 400 women across the university have received this honor.
Bronkar will be recognized as being significantly instrumental in the lives of students and colleagues and as someone who exemplifies the role of mother, mentor and/or muse at the 11th Annual Mothers, Mentors and Muses Scholarship Fundraiser Reception at 91²Ö¿â in April. She was nominated by Maria Feik, 91²Ö¿â Tuscarawas Makerspace equipment laboratory technician.
The Women’s Center defines:
- Mother – one who has helped “birth†ideas, thoughts and academic endeavors in others, or who serves as a nurturing individual to others.
- Mentor – one who serves as a trusted counselor, colleague and/or role model.
- Muse – one who inspires creativity and artistic/academic passion in others.
