91ֿ at Tuscarawas and the Performing Arts Center were both big winners during The Times-Reporter’s annual Best of the Best Awards Gala by earning seven awards. A large crowd was on hand for the event, held at the Performing Arts Center on Tues., Nov. 13.
91ֿ Tuscarawas received the highest award in the Kids and Education category and first place in College and University. The Performing Arts Center received the highest award for Entertainment, first place awards for Event Venue and Concert Venue, second place in Wedding Venue and honorable mention in Family Entertainment.
“I’m so honored and thankful to our community for recognizing 91ֿ Tuscarawas and the Performing Arts Center with these Best of the Best awards,” said Brad Bielski, dean and chief administrative officer of 91ֿ Tuscarawas. “Thanks to the community’s input and support of past, current and future endeavors, the campus is extraordinarily successful. I look forward to continuing to serve the needs of our students, future students and our community.”
David Mitchell, general manager of the Performing Arts Center, was also honored by the recognition of the community.
“To be acknowledged by our community as Best of the Best in Entertainment, along with four other awards, is very exciting,” said Mitchell. “The arts is one of most meaningful and emotional experiences in our world today. My goal is to continue community outreach, provide accessible and affordable programming, as well as develop lasting partnerships within the community.”
Over 100,000 area community members voted for their favorite businesses and service agencies in twelve categories. The top three finishers in each category were recognized during the event.
