Bookkeeper/Payroll Specialist - Neidenthal & Co.

In-House Bookkeeper/Payroll Specialist - Full-time
Dover, OH


Responsibilities

  • Process weekly/biweekly payroll using ADP software or comparable software
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations
  •  Understanding how payroll preparation and monthly transaction entry relates to the general ledger
  • Reviewing accounts for appropriate postings
  • Assisting clients with accounting, payroll and basic software issues
  • Preparing quarterly and year-end payroll tax returns including any payroll notices
  • Potential to assist tax/audit departments as needed
  • Other duties as assigned


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Knowledge of general accounting concepts
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of firm and client information
  • Data entry skills and high attention to detail
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Client service oriented
  • Able to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work well with others and learn from them also
  • Maintain a positive attitude
  • Willing to adapt to continuous process improvement and changes in technology

Requirements

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. required
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or comparable accounting and bookkeeping experience
    preferred
  • Experience with QuickBooks preferred. QuickBooks certified preferred.
