Every week THREE BABIES in Ohio DIE related to an unsafe sleep environment.
We need your help to change that! Nursing faculty, along with SNA, are launching the “Safe Sleep Environment†campaign on campus. Our goal is to educate our campus community on safe sleep and create a model safe sleep environment which will be on display in the Lower Commons on Monday March 13 & 14 from 10am-2pm.
Please partner with us for this educational and informational event.
As nurses, it is our duty to provide education to those we serve. This includes education to our community. You may have heard that the infant mortality rates in the Mahoning and Trumbull counties are some of the highest in the State of Ohio.
We need as many nursing students as possible to be a part of this important educational opportunity. If you are interested in helping with the event, we would like to meet with you before “Safe Sleep Environment†initiative to offer you an explanation of what we will be doing for this event and what part you will have in this campus endeavor. If you have additional questions, feel free to e-mail Mrs. Colwell, Mrs. DePaul or Mrs. Walker.
