The mission of Nordson BUILDS is to attract and develop a diverse, highly-skilled talent pool for careers in the manufacturing industry. Scholarship recipients will be considered for available internship opportunities with Nordson Corporation. These scholarships are targeted at individuals whose permanent residence or postsecondary institution is near a Nordson facility and/or attend a college targeted by Nordson for employment. To be considered, applicants must be pursuing a major in manufacturing, STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), or business disciplines, and demonstrate how their area of study prepares them for a career in manufacturing. Scholarships ranging from $2,000 to $10,000 will be awarded to students planning to enroll or already enrolled in an accredited public or private not-for-profit postsecondary institution. The Thomas J. Seefred Trust is a perpetual fund that will award scholarships up to $3,000 each to college students between 18-25 years of age who are suffering from Juvenile Diabetes. The Trumbull County Disabled American Veterans Chapter #11 is awarding two (2) individual undergraduate scholarships of one thousand dollars ($1,000) each to help defer the cost of higher education for a Disabled American Veteran's family.
